Life does happen during finals.

School has kept me away. But now that the beast is away, the Kelly will play. Life did happen in between my last post and now. You deserve to know about it.

1. St. Patrick's Day/Leah's Birthday
To celebrate one of my favorite holidays (mentioned above) and the birth of one of my favorite people in my ward (also mentioned above), I threw a party. Yes, a party. I created a six-layer confectionary masterpiece and drank root beer 'til the cows came home. It was wild.

2. Read three novels in two days.
This was record breaking since I consider myself to be an incredibly slow reader. To keep myself awake, I spent countless hours with my legs resting against the wall, and my head dangling off the edge of my bed. Though somewhat uncomfortable, it is incredibly effective. The novels read: The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, and The Hours by Michael Cunningham

3. Attempted to wipe off my eye-makeup with nail polish remover.
After reading Neverwhere and The Hours in one day, needless to say, I was a bit distraught and distracted. Luckily nail polish remover has a particularly strong odor, which caused me to second guess what I had just applied to my eyelid. My eye was thoroughly rinsed and no immediate damage has incurred.

4. Wrote three papers and took four exams.
Success. I can say that I at least passed all of my classes, with high marks in many of them which is nothing short of a miracle.

5. Moved to a new apartment.
You never realize how much you own until you attempt to move it from one place to another. I will be sorting my things for the rest of the summer.

With all of that said and done, I am grateful for summer.
