Losing and Gaining

This weekend was a momentous one. My lifelong best friend, Marisa, went and got herself married. It was beautiful; she was beautiful. Her new husband, Daxx is one of the best guys I have ever met. In some ways I still feel that I have lost my best friend, but it is not a real loss. She will always be Marisa, but now she just comes with an extra helping of Daxx, which really is fine by me.

Plus, the reception was one great party. Lora and I were thoroughly amused.
