After leaving the wondrous city of Weymouth, we took a coach to some random destination, hiked through a random forest, through some random fields of rapeseed, and ended up at Milton's Abbey, which is a random boarding school, thus no tour of the place was taken. We admired the structure from afar for a grand total of three minutes.
The next several days were a dream for the King Arthur fanatics, and thoroughly enjoyable for those less knowledgeable about King Arthur {such as myself}. Our afternoon was spent at the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey where 10th century monks supposedly found the remains of King Arthur and Guinevere. There is also the traditional belief that Joseph of Arimethea brought the child Jesus Christ to Glastonbury, and thus it is the earliest Christian sanctuary in Britain.
Though a lovely ruin, the town of Glastonbury breeds the weirdest of the weird. People are dressed up as fairies and street performers have ridiculously long armpit hair. Though it was a nice stop, I was happy to move along to our next home-away-from-home: Tintagel.
Our group overtook the Tintagel hostel, a delightful little cottage on a seaside cliff. I felt as though I could stay there for years. Each night, we sat outside and watched the sun set into the ocean, and spent our nights playing games and writing essays. During the day, we meandered through Tintagel, enjoying the ruins of the castle, exploring Merlin's Cave, eating Cornish pasties {which are delicious}, and playing along the cliffs.
I loved Tintagel and will gladly find my way there again. Especially because only in Tintagel could you have your picture taken at Fantasy Photos, a most wonderful photography studio.

P.S. Pat loved the work of Fantasy Photos so much, he postponed
our regular plans to take the whole group to the studio, for this
masterpiece.
That photo is awesome! :D Jill loved the photos of you with fairy wings. :)
