What I Like

Recently, I have been thinking a lot about the things that I really like and the things that I really dislike. I guess this could be some form of gratitude post, because I really am grateful for all the things I like, and I'm grateful that I can choose whether or not I dislike the things I dislike.

1. I like sugar snap peas. Oh and these glasses without lenses. I actually wore glasses without lenses in 7th grade (It's kind of a fad here now which is funny to me. Too bad it wasn't as cool in 7th grade.) I guess I just like how I look in glasses. It makes me look smarter. More smart?

2. I really like my Relief Society Presidency and my Bishop. I didn't know being in the Relief Society was aloud to be fun. Maybe it's not, but we have a lot of fun.

3. I really like office supplies! If someone gave me a bag full of pencils, sharpies, and sticky notes, I would be one happy girl!

4. I love the St. Johns Redskins!

5. I dislike burping. No, I ABHOR burping. I cannot stand it. I dislike it more than I dislike bugs and going to the dentist.

6. I like sunsets. The sunsets in Arizona are the most beautiful in the whole entire world! This one was by the Mississippi River in Nauvoo, Illinois on my 18th birthday. Many moons ago...

7. I love my older brother Paul (as well as the rest of my siblings/family). Paul's a really great brother and a great example to me. He's an AWESOME musician, and I hope that someday he will be able to do what he wants and be a musician. And I like that we smiled like my nephew Corwin in this picture.

8. I like to read, and I'm glad that my family is a reading family. Some of my favorite memories are when my sister Kimberly read me George's Marvelous Medicine by Roald Dahl. I laughed the whole time. It still makes me laugh. My Dad would read to me regularly too. When I was little, I would sit on his back and scratch his back while he read me fairy tales.

9. I love music. I suppose everyone loves music, but I really do love it. I love when my family sings together, and I like my dad's idea of starting a family blue grass band. haha I love singing, playing the piano, the violin, and more recently the cello!

10. Most of all I love my family! I love camping with them during our summer family reunion! I think we're a pretty great group of people.

  1. Hi Kelly! We missed your phone call last night! Hope you were having a great Sabbath Day! I really like this post and the pictures! Thanks for sharing! Fun in RS is not aloud! ...BUT it IS allowed! Sorry I just had to point that out. HA HA! :D Would you like some office supplies for Christmas? Sorry that you weren't here when we were quarantined to our house during the summer of 1983 when everybody had the chicken pox and I read Heidi, Little Britches, & etc. etc. to your siblings. It was great! Who were you watching the sunset over the Mississippi with on your 18th birthday? And who took the picture of our family camping? We all look like a bunch of happy campers!
Can't wait to see you THURSDAY!!!
    Love ya lots!!!

  2. Hey Mama! I just barely noticed that I spelled "allowed" wrong. Dah! I also recently learned that there is an r in surprised. Weird. How did I make it through school without knowing that? haha I'm actually pretty good when it comes to office supplies. You could get some for me if you want to though, and I wouldn't complain. haha I do remember you reading Little Britches though. I don't remember what it was about, but I remember that you read it! I was sitting by Lindsey on a log in the Mississippi River on my birthday. It was pretty great. And I have no idea who took the picture of our family campling...Well I can't wait to see you on Thursday! Love ya!
